I think the most interesting thing to people is people. Do you really think Times Square is crowded because of the Starbucks or the McDonald’s or Olive Garden? Nope. It’s crowded because it’s crowded. Anyway, like any “hot spot,” the challenge to an artist is capturing the essence of a place like Times Square more than recreating the image. If you squint your eyes and blur your vision in Times Square at night, the multitude of lights and people looks like an abstract painting. So, here is my version of the “essence” of Times Square. I painted this with the dry brush on Procreate.
