On May 19, 2012 we visited DeLeon Springs State Park near Deland, Florida, for our 31st set of Plein Air Paintings. Our friend, Doug Smith joined us. My dog, Hu, also was with us. The park is beautiful and was very busy with many visitors enjoying this beautiful Saturday in May. We found the perfect spot to park our stuff at a shaded picnic table. We painted a few yards from the table where we had a great view of the water and the distant tree line. A lot of people stopped to watch us paint and say hello. While we were there an airboat pulled ashore and the pilot told another curious park guest that he built the airboat by himself over the course of four years. Another great plein air painting day!
