Artist's Description
This is the second "plein air" pastel painting. This was done on a hiking trail in the Silver River State Park near Silver Springs, Florida. Once again Robin and I brough my dog Hu along and decided on this spot. Robin painted her "plein air" painting in acrylic paints. It was another hot, but beautiful, day and we set up our easels in a shaded area. This was done on Saturday, May 28, 2011, and earlier that morning Robin and I performed two songs for a group of Veterans that were gathered to get information on their upcoming flight to see the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. on an "Honor Flight."
