I know the plane is cheaper and quicker. I know the car gives me freedom to explore and make spontaneous changes. But, there is something about traveling by train that still appeals to me. Maybe it’s the social aspect. You meet, and get to chat with, a lot of people on a train. Maybe it’s the scenery. We live in a beautiful country and driving the interstates doesn’t really give much opportunity for sightseeing. Or maybe, now that I’m older, I just want someone else to do the driving. The title can be interpreted two ways. It can describe the artistic style or it can be a reference to my thoughts on train travel. I titled this, “Impressionistic Railroad.”
