This is James Peronto. Also known as Jim. Jim is Robin's brother and he is a truly accomplished musician. In this painting Jim is the percussionist for the Gainesville Pops orchestra in Gainesville, Florida. Usually they place the percussionists way in the back and it makes it hard to see them or take a decent photo of them. But on the day captured in this painting, the percussionists were off to the side because the venue was a church and there was only a limited amount of space. It made it a lot easier for me to get a photo of Jim. The photo I was able to take became the reference photo for this painting.
