My brother, Bill, fell in love with The Rainbow River at the same time I did back in the early 1970s. He and his wife, Norma, were married at the headwaters in Rainbow Springs. But he moved away and today he revisited Rainbow Springs and Dunnellon for the first time in about 30 years. Robin and I joined him and, although we visit the Rainbow River all the time, seeing it with Bill was almost like seeing it again for the first time. It inspired me to attempt to capture the beauty of the Rainbow River in this painting. Of course, it is a futile effort to try to recreate God’s beauty in a painting. For those interested in the painting, this was painted digitally using the Procreate app with the dry brush. The under painting is a layer of various shades of orange. This is not painted using an AI program or an AI app. I used 7 layers and then merged them together, the time recorded to paint this was 2 hours and 28 minutes.
