Description

As part of an event hosted by the Long Beach Island Foundation I traveled with Robin MacBlane in early July of 2022 to New Jersey to paint some scenes from around Long Beach Island "en plein air." We were in the area for only three days and only the second day was sunny. It was on this second day that we set up our easels in the shade of a gazebo in a park called Bayview Park. The scenery was beautiful and the activity around us with young people enjoying the park, taking sailing lessons, learning to be lifeguards, and simply enjoying the day was a vitalizing environment to be a part of. The waters were calm (unlike the day before) and the sky was peaceful and serene.
