Description
They called her Lucerna Mulier. Her name meant “Candle Woman.” She was a product of mountain folklore. But the line between myth and reality became blurred after being trapped in that cavern for eight days. We both recalled seeing her. She had a feminine fragrance. An angelic presence. And the reflection of moonlight on the falling snow she brought with her was like a battalion of fireflies illuminating the exit just yards away. An exit that, until now, we were unaware of. I painted this on Procreate with the dry brush and the turpentine brush.
