Description
It's not the cool light blue hues of the fallen snow, it's not the blue gray sky peaking through the bare branches of the winter trees, it's not even the smoke rising from the fireplace. What draws us all to this painting is the tiny squares of warm yellow and orange glowing from the windows. That is what draws us to this painting. Because we want to go inside. We want to know the warmth of that fireplace. We want to hold a cup of hot chocolate while our legs are wrapped in a cozy blanket. And maybe we want to be in this cabin with a friend. Someone we've known for a long time. Someone who knows our secrets. Someone who will laugh with us. This is not a painting of a cabin in the snowy woods. This is a painting of a place to remind ourselves what love feels like. What family feels like. What home feels like.
