Description
I have been to the end of the rainbow and, yes, there is gold there. This is a painting of the place where the Rainbow River meets the Withlacoochee River. This is where cool, fresh, spring water connects to the slightly warmer tannic tinted waters flowing north. Limnologists call this a confluence. Locals call this Dunnellon, Florida. Look at it on Google Earth and you can see a slight change in color. Better still, ride in an aluminum canoe with your bare feet pressed against the floor and you will feel the temperature change as you leave one river and enter the other. Oh, and the gold? Just go there and look at God’s beautiful earth. You’ll feel it, you’ll see it, and you’ll be richer because of it. I painted this digitally using the Procreate app with the dry brush.
