You don’t realize, until afterwards, how a walk through the woods can revive your soul. It was an overcast day when Robin and I walked the trail at Ravine Gardens in Palatka, Florida. It was the first day of Spring and we went with the intent to make a relaxing video. We didn’t realize we were on the trail marked “strenuous.” We might not have chosen that trail had we known that. But there was something about facing the challenges of that trail together that, more than revived our soul, revitalized our relationship. We’ve done so much together over the years that it’s hard to believe that anything could bring us closer. But we laughed together, we overcame obstacles together, we acknowledged the limitations of our aging bodies (well, I did, anyway), and we deposited one more great moment into our “memory savings account.” It is because of that savings account that I am truly one of the richest men alive. I needed yesterday. I love you, Robin. Regarding the artwork, this is a digital painting that I made using the Procreate app with the dry brush and the turpentine brush.
