Description
As I am getting older, I find myself talking to the backyard squirrels. True, they wouldn’t even give me the time of day. Maybe because watches are so expensive. But, I talk to them, anyway. I sit in the screened-in porch and watch them eat, drink from the bird bath, and chase each other. Now and then one of them will come very close to the screen and look at me. That’s when I ask, ”How you doin’?” The large rock in our yard seems to be a favorite place to nibble on a peanut or an acorn or a hickory nut. It’s cute. I know they bite, but, still, they’re cute. Alligators bite, too, but usually they’re not cute. I’m glad alligators don’t sit on that rock nibbling on their favorite food. They probably would eat the squirrels. This digital painting was made using the Procreate app with the dry brush.
