Description
Raccoons are like celebrities. They really hope we don't notice them. They just want to go about their business and not have to pose for photos or tolerate silly comments like, "Hey fella." Well, I'm not sure John Travolta ever hears, "Hey fella," but you know what I mean. But for the rest of us, the "public at large" (which, itself, is a curious description of us) its easy to be "star-struck" when seeing a celebrity, or a raccoon, in person. When we see either of them we stop, our eyes widen, and we do a quick analysis to make sure we're not mistaken (hey, that Raccoon COULD be a squirrel and that John Travolta-looking guy COULD be Nicholas Cage). And when they get home? When they get to their safe refuge? They are just like the rest of us. They find their comfy place and they look out the window (TVs have become the "new" window for us humans but Raccoons don't have TVs). And you know what they do? They look at the rest of us. They actually are as interested in us (Yes, the same "us" that is referred to as the "public at large") as we are in them. That's what these two Raccoons were caught doing. They were comfy in their little hollowed out tree condominium and they just looked. That's why this painting is called "Coondominium With A View." I painted this on Procreate with the Dry Brush.
